We are doing a similar technique where the 24″x24″ posters are adhered to 1/8″ masonite which will be attached to acting cubes. We are using Crystal Gel. The actors haven’t received them yet, so I can’t speak to the durability. What I can say is the CrystalGel has been easy to work with and did not make the ink run or the paper wrinkle (the lighter weight plotter paper wrinkled a bit). It is very shiny and you can see brush marks. But we are spraying Rosco Clear Flat on top to dull the sheen. I will let you know how it goes.
