      Hi everyone,

I’m being asked to paint new plywood for a dance touring show. Very simple treatment, but I’m looking for ideas for the primer / color / sealer that will

1- help to hide the plywood grain, (Primer)

2 – replicate the feel of a marley dance floor for the dancers. (Sealer?) Also hold up with dancing 🙂

The finish should be lower sheen.

Would elastomeric be a good idea to thicken the paint in the primer? My instinct is that the primer should be something less mushy and more industrial for underfoot dancing.

      Thank you all!

      Jenny in Cleveland
