Did you know that the “HDYGTFAJ” articles are some of our best read and shared?

Scenics love career advice and hearing where people come from.

But we need your help! We would love to create a list of people to interview that aren’t just the in the “theatre” side of scenic art – Do you know an awesome Muralist? Tv/Film Painter? Amusement Park or something else that I can’t think of?

Better yet, are you willing to sit down and interview these people?

Let us know here and we can follow up!

I love these articles! I’m hoping that in the next year we might be able to hear from a Charge artist in the film/TV world, someone who makes their living in Theme Park or Casino work, maybe Karen Manness about her amazing book, The Art of the Hollywood Backdrop, or Jane Snow about the classes she teaches for the Studio and Forum of Scenic Arts.

If you know someone you think the world should hear from, we can help you figure out how to record an interview, and even find a volunteer to help you with transcribing the audio recording and editing it into a cohesive narrative. (I’m super happy to help with that!) We’ve also got a handy list of possible interview questions to get you started, so you can tailor topics to your scenic friends’ specifics.
