We are looking to use bubble machines for one of our productions next season. Has anyone else done this before with good success? How did it hold up on the floor? Did the floor treatment have to change? I am worries it is going to be a slippery nightmare!

I used a bubble machine last summer for a production of Willy Wonka. We sealed the stage with diluted poly and the paint held up fine.

We used Rosco’s bubble fluid, as it is advertised to be non-slip. Despite this advertised feature, it did make an incredibly slick surface that was unsafe. We ultimately moved the bubble machine so that the bubbles fell in an area where none of the actors would (or even could) step and accidentally slip.
