Kate is a Scenic Artist and eclectic entrepreneur based in Ann Arbor, Michigan.  She has painted at several local professional theatres, most recently with The Encore Musical Theatre Company in Dexter, MI. A social entrepreneur, she’s passionate about giving teams and communities the tools they need to succeed at their missions.  Kate holds an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business as well as a B.A. in Women’s Studies from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

JONATHAN WENTZ, MFA is SC-based scenographer who has designed and painted for theater, opera, dance and theme parks throughout the United States, including Adirondack Theatre Festival, Berkshire Theatre Group, TheatreWorks/UCCS Presents, Shadowland Stages, Riverside Theatre, The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, The Depot Theatre, Two River Theatre Company, Oak Ridge Playhouse, Colorado Springs Fine Art Center, Cortland Repertory Theatre, Mills Entertainment, Greensboro Opera, Piedmont Opera, The Women’s Theatre Company of NJ, Riverside Theatre, Charleston Opera Theatre, Queen Street Theatre, Adirondack Studios (FL) at Pandora: The World of Avatar/WDW Animal Kingdom, and multiple university theatre, dance and opera departments as a professor and resident scenographer. Originally from New York, the UNC Greensboro grad now resides in the greater Charleston area. Jennifer Rose Ivey is a passionate and dedicated theatre educator who has worked around the country as a designer, scenic artist, prop designer, and teacher. She has worked as a designer and/or technician at the Georgia Ensemble Theatre in Atlanta, West Virginia Public Theatre, Atlanta Opera, Atlanta Lyric Theatre, Theatreworks Peoria, Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, WILL-TV Illinois Public Broadcasting, Theatre Workshop of Owensboro, Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival, Jacksonville State University, Florida International University, and most recently with M Ensemble painting here in Miami. She is also an active member of the theatrical professional community through conferences and organization, including presentations at USITT (United States Institute for Theatre Technology), KCACTF (Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival), and leadership as the Focus Group Representative for Design Technology and Management Focus Group for ATHE (Association for Theatre in Higher Education), and Chair of the Space Design Sub Commission for OISTAT (International Organization of Scenographers Theatre Architects and Technicians). She is also an active member and contributed to the Scenic Artist Guild. Her first book, “The Scenic Charge Artist’s Toolkit: Tips, Templates, and Techniques for Planning and Running a Successful Paint Shop in the Theatre and Performing Arts” was recently published by Routledge. Jennifer currently teaches Introduction to Design, Scenic Design, Scenic Painting, Portfolio, The Business of Theatre, Rendering and Period Styles for Theatrical Design. In addition, she advises students on scenic design, props, and painting for productions throughout the academic year. In the past she has also taught Computer Graphics, Stagecraft, and numerous independent studies.

Marina Bellizzi is a Los Angeles native who graduated from Occidental College with a double major in Theater and Sociology, combining her appreciation for people, culture, and art. She went on to work in theater in various roles, including administration and stage management. Marina pursued Scenic Art at Global Trade Show Productions and Mattel and completed projects for brands such as Barbie, Hot Wheels, and Fisher-Price. She was a Scenic Artist at Vision Scenery in Los Angeles and has had the privilege to paint for Taylor Swift, Toyota, Spotify, and commercials aired during the Super Bowl. Marina continues to develop her skills as a creative individual through challenging and innovative projects, currently serving as the Paint Shop Supervisor and Clinical Lecturer at the Pennsylvania State University’s School of Theatre.

Angelique has been a Scenic Artist for over 25 years, receiving her MFA in Scenic Art from Cal Arts.  She has painted for the Denver Center, Kenmark Scenic Backdrops, and International Tours for Sesame Street Live and Paw Patrol.  She has spent the last 20 years freelancing in the Twin Cities and is currently the Charge Artist for Chanhassen Dinner Theatre, Penumbra Theatre, and the University of Minnesota, having also taught Scenic Art Classes since 2013.  She is most proud of her work as a mom and for helping to found the Guild of Scenic Artists as the first editor for the Scenic Route.  She is excited to return to the Board as the Membership Director.  www.Qpowers.com

Christie is the Assistant Charge Scenic Artist at the Alley Theatre in Houston, Texas. She is also a mentor for the Theatre Under The Stars Teen Apprentice Program, adjudicator for the Tommy Tune Awards (An official regional program of the National High School Musical Theatre Awards®; The Jimmy Awards®), and occasional display artist. Her display work has been seen at The Alley Theatre, George R Brown Convention Center and MKT Heights. Christie’s passion for Scenic Art education and accessibility led her to create her Tiktok, @itschristiegayle reaching folks across the world and taking them behind the scenes at her regional theatre and sharing Scenic Art and technical theatre education. She holds a BFA in Theatre from Sam Houston State University.

James is the Scenic Art Supervisor at Gulfshore Playhouse in Naples, Florida. In his time at Gulfshore Playhouse he led the scenic art department from a team of one in 2019 to a team of four full time artists and numerous overhire artists who assist at different times throughout their ten month long professional season. James joined the Guild of Scenic Artists as a member in the fall of 2018. He happily joined the Guild’s Board of Directors in June of 2026, where he currently serves the Guild as their Director of Events. James is also a fine artist and miniature artist whose paintings and custom painted tabletop gaming miniatures have been purchased by individuals across the world. James holds a BA in Theatre from the University of the Ozarks.
